From December 26, 2018 – January 6, 2019, Dr. Werner traveled to Guatemala, along with a small team of volunteers, including his wife and kids, to undertake a volunteer dentistry trip. With the support of Centro Cristiano Cultural De Guatemala (CCCG) and David Alvarez, they traveled to Rio Dulce as well as Monterrico and were able to treat almost 300 patients with the total value of donated services exceeding $27,500.

They were able to help many people who otherwise would not be able to get dental treatment. Dr. Werner and the team got people out of pain and removed infections. They were able to restore teeth that would otherwise be lost if not fixed, and were able to place fluoride on the teeth of many children to prevent cavities in the future.
